Helicopter FAQs

How to charter a helicopter?

Simply call the team on +44(0)20 8339 8570 or send an enquiry and you will be connected with one of our experienced helicopter charter specialists who will find the ideal aircraft, according to your unique requirements, and arrange the charter for you.

How much does a helicopter charter cost?

Many factors influence the cost of a helicopter charter, such as the size of the helicopter, the length of the flight, and when you’re looking to land. Our team will talk you through all your options and provide a no-obligation quote.

How many passengers can travel in a helicopter?

We can easily arrange the charter of an aircraft to seat up to nine passengers. The most popular helicopter to charter is the AW109 twin-engine helicopter, which can accommodate up to six passengers and we can also source an H145 or AW139, for up to nine passengers. Should you need a charter for more than nine passengers, we can arrange multiple helicopters to fly the same route.

What is the luggage allowance for a helicopter?

This is dependent on the type of helicopter, and the amount of passengers. We generally advise one 10kg soft-sided bag per person, but this is on the basis that every seat is being used on board. If you only had one person on a six-seater aircraft, you could of course take more luggage. Our experts will go through your requirements with you before you book, to ensure your luggage requirements are met.

What happens if there’s bad weather?

Helicopters can operate in adverse weather conditions but it depends on several factors including the severity of the conditions, and the aircraft. Our team will keep you informed of the weather in the days leading up to, and the day of, your flight and work with you should it be necessary to rearrange.
